Sidewalk Terms & Community Rules

By choosing Agree & continue, you agree to these rules and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. Sidewalk is an independent beta chat service and is not affiliated with websites whose rooms you visit or endorsed by Google.

Who can use Sidewalk

You must be at least 13 and able to agree to these terms under the rules that apply to you. If you need a parent or guardian’s permission, obtain it before using Sidewalk. Adult-site rooms are unavailable. Adult websites are excluded from discovery and page sharing. Age self-confirmation is not identity verification.

Community rules

• Do not threaten, harass, discriminate against, impersonate or expose private information about other people.
• Do not post illegal material, sexual exploitation or abuse material, sexual content involving minors, or encourage violence or self-harm.
• Keep general rooms suitable for users ages 13 and up. No room permits illegal or exploitative content.
• No pasted links or website addresses in message text; use the page-sharing control where supported.
• No sexually explicit content in any room, including rooms on mixed-use websites.
• No spam, scams, malicious links, credential theft, ban evasion or attempts to disrupt the service.
• Share only content you have the right to share. Do not post confidential information, passwords or other people’s private data.

Your messages and moderation

You retain rights to your content and allow Sidewalk to store, display and process it to operate chat, rankings, moderation and support. Messages are public to room participants; deleting or hiding a message cannot remove copies others made. Moderators may remove messages, restrict profiles or disable rooms for violations or safety reasons. Use Report on a message for content concerns and admin@sidewalk.chat to request review of a moderation decision, even if your profile is banned.

Beta limitations

The service may change, become unavailable or lose data. Aliases, badges, points and streaks are not verified identities or financial assets. Points have no cash value. Content is supplied by users and is not professional advice. Do not rely on Sidewalk for emergencies or sensitive communications. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Stopping use and updates

You may stop using Sidewalk at any time. Closing or uninstalling the extension does not automatically delete server records; see the Privacy Policy for controls and contact options. We will present material agreement changes in the product. Contact the Sidewalk operator at admin@sidewalk.chat.
